Gesher Community Care is a mental health resource dedicated to connecting Jewish individuals with culturally competent, licensed therapists. Our mission is to ensure that every Jewish person has access to a safe, supportive, and affordable therapeutic space where their identity is understood and respected
The "therapeutic alliance"—the relationship between you and your therapist—is the most important factor in successful treatment. Finding a therapist who understands Jewish life, traditions, and the nuances of Jewish identity across the spectrum saves you from having to "educate" your therapist about your background, allowing you to focus entirely on your healing.
Not at all. Gesher supports Jewish individuals across the entire spectrum of identity—including those who are secular, cultural, traditional, or Orthodox. We match you with therapists who understand the specific "flavor" of your Jewish experience.
Step 1: Inquiry. You fill out a confidential registration form on our website.
Step 2: Matching. Our team reviews your specific needs, including clinical issues (like anxiety, grief, or trauma), logistical preferences (in-person vs. virtual), and cultural requirements.
Step 3: Referral. We connect you with a vetted therapist from our national network who is best suited to help you.
Our therapists are not only licensed professionals but have also been vetted for their understanding of Jewish life. Furthermore, all therapists in the GCC Network affirm the IHRA definition of antisemitism. This ensures that your therapist provides a space where your concerns about Jewish identity and antisemitism are met with validation rather than dismissal.
Yes. We recognize that many in the Jewish community are experiencing heightened stress, sadness, and safety concerns following the events of October 7th. Our network includes clinicians specifically trained to handle trauma, grief, and crisis intervention within a Jewish communal context.
One of Gesher’s core goals is to remove financial barriers. We work to match you with providers who fit your budget or accept your insurance. By making therapy affordable, we act as a "bridge" so you don’t have to choose between your financial well-being and your mental health.
The first session is an opportunity to see how you feel. If you don't feel a "click" or a sense of safety, you can reach back out to us. We are committed to finding the right match for you and can provide alternative referrals.
Absolutely. Your privacy is a priority. All inquiries and therapist matches are handled with the highest level of professional confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Getting started is simple and confidential.
Navigate to the "Find a Therapist" option. You will be asked to fill out a brief, secure inquiry form that helps the clinical team understand your specific needs, such as your location, the issues you'd like to address, and any preferences regarding the type of therapist you are looking for.
Once submitted, a member of the intake team will review your information and reach out to begin the matching process.
