Therapist Spotlight: Meet Dr. Ania Schwartzman

At Gesher Community Care, we believe that the right connection is the first step toward healing. Today, we are proud to spotlight one of our dedicated practitioners, Dr. Ania Schwartzman, a clinical and school psychologist committed to helping her clients navigate life’s complexities with strength and clarity.

Ania Schwartzman

A Commitment to Resilience

Dr. Schwartzman specializes in guiding both teens and adults through the challenges of anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions. Her approach is rooted in a deep-seated intention to foster not just temporary relief, but resilience and lasting change. By creating a safe, supportive environment, she ensures that every individual she works with feels truly seen and heard.

Background and Perspective

Born and raised in New York by Polish and Israeli parents, Ania brings a rich cultural perspective to her clinical work. She currently lives and works in New York City with her Israeli husband and their two children. This background informs her dedication to supporting all clients—with a particular focus on those who identify as Jewish—by providing a space that honors their unique identities and experiences.

Proactive Tools for Wellbeing

Ania is a strong advocate for integrating accessible mental health resources into daily life. One of her top recommendations for clients is the Insight Timer app.

"It offers hundreds of free meditations and various strategies to promote wellbeing, making it an excellent resource for those looking to practice mindfulness outside of our sessions."
